We've been keeping a secret for the past two years. And now it's finally time to share it with you. The founders of Brewfontaine are proud to announce the construction of The Syndicate, a brand new 5,000 square foot wedding, event, and outdoor entertainment venue right here in the heart of downtown Bellefontaine.
Why The Syndicate?
This has been a long time coming. For years, the community has been asking for a local venue to host meetings, celebrations, and events. And we've been listening. After two years of planning and development, we're finally breaking ground.

When the venue isn't reserved for private events, it will be home to live entertainment, ticketed events, wine dinners, cooking classes, food pairings, and so much more. Think of it as an extension of everything we love about Brewfontaine, but bigger and bolder.
A Nod to Bellefontaine History
The name "The Syndicate" pays homage to the historic site where the new building is being constructed. This spot was once home to Jackson's News Stand, a beloved local destination that served the community for more than 40 years with newspapers, magazines, gifts, and candy.
"Jackson's was a center of activity and community staple for my grandparents, parents, and I growing up."
Co-founder Jeramy Fitzpatrick, a Bellefontaine native, wanted to honor that legacy. The original Jackson's newsstand sign will be repurposed in the Beer Garden, now affectionately named "Jackson's Brew Stand."
What to Expect
Located at 213 S. Main Street, The Syndicate will feature:
- A large main street facing patio
- Roll up garage doors for indoor/outdoor flow
- A brick lined entertainment stage inside
- An outdoor stage in the beer garden
- 28 foot soaring exposed ceilings
- A New York style steel canopied newsstand
- Glowing quartz countertop bar
- Polished concrete floors
The venue will accommodate interior and exterior celebrations for hundreds of guests, with the flexibility to install a tent for even larger events in a secluded outdoor area.
Brewfontaine Premier Events
Along with The Syndicate, we're launching Brewfontaine Premier Events, our new catering and events arm. We're expanding our team and culinary capabilities to bring the same quality food and hospitality you love at Brewfontaine to your weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
"The Syndicate will have a modern feel but all of the small town hospitality we can provide. You will want to visit again and again just to see what's happening on any given day or time."
Coming Soon
Construction begins this month under the Link Construction Group, with completion expected later this year. We can't wait to open the doors and welcome you to The Syndicate.
